Gift Card Offer Terms & Conditions
The terms and conditions of the Safety Nest gift card offer: who is eligible, how to earn the gift card, and how it is delivered.
Last updated: 31 August 2026
From time to time, Safety Nest runs a promotional offer where you can receive a digital gift card as a thank you for completing a no-obligation call with a licensed insurance specialist. These terms set out how that offer works. By claiming the offer, you agree to these terms.
The offer is made by Safety Nest Pty Ltd (ABN 62 679 381 545), a Corporate Authorised Representative (No. 001311268) of Australian Mortgage & Financial Advisers Pty Ltd (AFSL 389206, ABN 26 088 464 939) (Safety Nest, we, us). These terms operate alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. The offer
If you enquire through a Safety Nest page that displays the gift card offer, and you then complete a no-obligation call with a licensed specialist as set out in section 3, we will email you a digital gift card.
The value of the gift card is the amount shown on the page you enquired through (for example $50 or $100). The amount displayed on that page at the time you enquire is the amount that applies to you, regardless of amounts shown elsewhere or at other times.
We sometimes offer different amounts to different people at the same time, including while we are testing which offer to run. The amount shown to you is the amount that applies to you.
The offer runs in releases. We make this offer available in separate releases. Each release is open for a set period, is made available only to the people we invite to it or to visitors of a page we are displaying it on at the time, and closes at the end of that period or earlier.
When a release closes, the pages stop displaying the offer and no new claims arise under it. Closing a release does not affect you if you had already booked your call while the offer was displayed to you: complete your call as set out in section 3 and we will send your gift card.
We may run further releases at any time, with the same or a different gift card amount, and on the same or different terms.
The gift card is a Prezzee Smart eGift Card, a digital gift card issued by Prezzee. It can be swapped for gift cards at participating retailers. The retailers available, and the number of them, are determined by Prezzee and change from time to time, and your use of the card is subject to Prezzee's own terms. It is delivered by email. No physical card is sent.
If the Prezzee Smart eGift Card is unavailable at the time we send it, we may substitute a digital gift card of the same value from another issuer.
2. Who is eligible
To be eligible you must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident aged 18 or over;
- book through a Safety Nest page that displays the gift card offer, while the offer is shown to you on that page;
- where the release was offered to you by invitation, be the person we sent that invitation to, and book using the contact details we sent it to;
- provide accurate contact details, including a valid email address, that belong to you;
- answer any eligibility questions we ask truthfully, whether on the page or before your call; and
- be the person who attends the call.
You confirm your answers are true and correct when you submit the form. If an answer turns out not to be true, section 7 applies.
Invitations are personal to you. Some releases are offered only to people who have previously contacted us and whose details we already hold. Where we invite you to a release by email or message, that invitation, and any link in it, is for you. It is not transferable, and it should not be forwarded, shared, posted or passed on.
We check bookings made under an invitation release against our invitation list before your call, and if there is a problem we will tell you before your call rather than after it.
A person who books using a link that was not sent to them is not eligible for a gift card under that release. If that is you and you did not know, tell us: we may, acting reasonably, honour the claim anyway or invite you to a future release. You are of course still welcome to the call itself.
The offer is limited to one gift card per person, no matter how many enquiries you make or pages you enquire through, and to one gift card per household in each release. By household we mean the people who live together at the same residential address.
If two people in the same household were offered different amounts and both book, the first completed call earns its amount. We will tell the second person before their call, so nobody sits an appointment expecting a card that is not available to them.
If more than one person in your household would like to talk to us, they are very welcome to book and we will gladly speak with each of them properly. Only one gift card is available between you.
The offer is not available to Safety Nest personnel or their immediate families, is not available in conjunction with any other offer, and does not apply to appointments arranged other than through a page displaying the offer.
3. How to earn the gift card
There are three steps:
- Answer the questions. Answer the eligibility questions and leave your details on a page displaying the offer. This step alone does not book anything and does not earn the gift card.
- Book your time. Pick a time on the booking page. The call must be booked and completed.
- Show up and complete the call. Attend at your booked time and take part genuinely in the full conversation with the licensed specialist. A full call usually takes about 30 minutes.
If you need to reschedule, that is fine. The gift card is earned when the rescheduled call is completed. A missed appointment, or a call ended early before it has genuinely covered your situation, does not earn the gift card.
Rescheduling is meant to help you find a time that works, not to hold a claim open indefinitely. If your call has still not been completed within 60 days after the release you booked under has closed, or after three missed appointments, we may treat the claim as lapsed under section 7. We will contact you before we do.
Genuine participation matters. The call earns the gift card only if you take part in good faith: answering the specialist's questions honestly and meaningfully, so they can properly understand your situation. Attending but giving deliberately unhelpful, evasive or nonsense answers, or sitting through the call just to collect the gift card, does not count as completing the call, and we may decline the gift card under section 7.
4. No purchase required
You do not need to take out a policy, or buy anything, to receive the gift card. The call is no obligation, and the gift card is yours whether or not you go ahead with anything afterwards. The gift card is a thank you for your time, and it is not payment for, or conditional on, acquiring any financial product.
5. Delivery
We email the gift card to the email address you provided when you enquired, within 60 days of your completed call. If it has not arrived within that time, check your spam or junk folder first, then contact us at info@safetynest.com.au and we will sort it out. We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by an incorrect email address or your email provider's filtering, but we will re-send the gift card where we reasonably can.
6. The gift card itself
The gift card is issued by a third party and your use of it is governed by the issuer's terms, including any expiry date and redemption conditions, which are provided with the card. The gift card is not transferable for value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and any unused balance is subject to the issuer's terms. Once the gift card has been delivered to your email address, you are responsible for keeping it secure. We are not responsible for a gift card that is used by someone else after delivery.
7. Fair use and our discretion
We may decline to provide, or may cancel, a gift card where we reasonably believe:
- the eligibility requirements in section 2 have not been met;
- the same person has claimed, or attempted to claim, more than one gift card, including by using different names or contact details;
- more than one gift card has been claimed, or attempted, by people living at the same residential address in the same release;
- the enquiry or booking was not genuine, or the call was not genuinely participated in (for example, answers that were deliberately unhelpful, evasive or not serious);
- the offer was accessed other than through a page displaying it to you while it was open, for example through a link that was shared, forwarded or circulated, whether during a release or after it had closed;
- the booking cannot be matched to an invitation we sent you, where the release was offered by invitation;
- the contact details used to book are not genuinely yours, are temporary or disposable, or were created to make a further claim;
- the call has not been completed within 60 days after the release closed, or three or more appointments have been missed, and we have contacted you about it; or
- there has been fraud, abuse of the offer, or conduct intended to game it.
We check early where we can. Where we are able to see before your call that you are not eligible, we will tell you before the call rather than let you sit a 30-minute appointment and decline you afterwards. Some things can only be assessed on the call itself, and section 3 covers those.
Verification. Before we issue a gift card we may ask you to confirm reasonable details about your eligibility, such as your age, residency status, or that the contact details you gave belong to you. We will only ask for what we reasonably need to check eligibility under these terms. If you do not provide it within a reasonable time after we ask, we may decline the gift card.
Our decision. Whether the requirements of these terms have been met, including whether a call was genuinely participated in, is determined by us acting reasonably, and we will tell you the reason. The specialist who took your call refers the question; they do not decide it. If you think we have got it wrong, contact us at info@safetynest.com.au and a member of our team who was not involved in the decision will review it. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 11).
8. Changes to and withdrawal of the offer
This is a promotional offer and it is not permanent. We may change these terms or the gift card amount for future releases, or withdraw the offer, at any time. Any change or withdrawal does not affect a gift card you have already earned by completing your call, and the terms and amount that applied when you enquired continue to apply to your claim.
9. General information only
The gift card offer, and anything on the pages promoting it, is general information only. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Any advice you receive on the call is provided by a licensed specialist under the AFSL arrangements described above, and you should consider the relevant disclosure documents, including the Financial Services Guide and any Product Disclosure Statement, before making decisions about life insurance or related products.
10. Privacy
The personal information you provide when claiming the offer is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. General
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or other right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
